GDPR

Every processor you work with is part of your GDPR exposure. Cynapze keeps it under control.

Article 28 makes every processor handling personal data your responsibility. Cynapze gives data controllers a documented, continuous approach to monitoring processor security that holds up under scrutiny.

The challenge

Where processor risk slips past GDPR obligations

01

GDPR makes processor security your responsibility

Cynapze gives you continuous visibility into each processor's security posture, so you always know who handles your data and under what conditions.

02

A processor register that lags behind your actual relationships

Cynapze keeps every processor centralized and current, so your register reflects real exposure, not a snapshot from last year.

03

A once-a-year assessment can't deliver ongoing assurance

Cynapze monitors every processor daily, so the assurance that personal data is protected is permanent, not periodic.

04

Sub-processors extend your exposure beyond your direct vendors

Cynapze keeps the full processor chain visible and documented, including sub-processors that rarely appear in any formal register.

05

Not every processor handles data with the same sensitivity

Cynapze lets you weigh security grade against data sensitivity, so oversight concentrates where personal-data risk is highest.

06

Due diligence evidence needs to be ready before anyone asks

Cynapze maintains a complete audit trail at all times, so demonstrating that processors were assessed requires no reconstruction.

The solution

One platform built for GDPR regulation

Step 01 of 04

Daily Processor Monitoring

Vendor portfolio: every monitored vendor with security score, business criticality, type and status

Track each processor across 10 risk categories, with scores refreshed daily instead of a yearly check.

Keep every processor in one register, auto-detected and organized by status and by the sensitivity of the data they handle.

Keep the full processor chain visible, including sub-processors, and map how they interconnect.

See a processor's score trend over time and compare across your portfolio to see where data risk concentrates.

Step 02 of 04

Structured Due Diligence

DORA domains breakdown and frameworks readiness matrix for your vendors

Send questionnaires built around data protection requirements, reusable across every processor and sub-processor category.

Assess a processor once, then project the result onto every framework you report on.

Let processors respond through a single link, and request certifications with a documented decision per document.

Turn any gap into a remediation plan with a named owner and a due date.

Step 03 of 04

Risk Mapped to Data Sensitivity

Risk matrix: vendors by business criticality and security rating, from safer to riskier

Cross-reference each processor's grade with the sensitivity of the data they handle, so a minor vendor and one processing customer records receive proportionate attention.

Match emerging threats against your processors, with intelligence from European and global authorities, to know who is affected within hours.

Get notified when a processor handling sensitive data drops a grade, or when a provider you share with others is affected.

Review a single matrix of processor risk across your portfolio, structured for DPO review.

Step 04 of 04

Documented Ownership

Evidences Locker: certifications, audit reports and policies collected as evidence, with validity and sharing status

Generate reports from your processor data, ready for regulators, auditors or your data protection officer.

Track compliance readiness from a single control set projected across every framework.

Maintain a full audit trail of assessments, score changes and remediation across every processor.

Centralize evidences with expiry tracking, and grant auditors scoped access to what they need.

Built for data controllers that need a structured, documented approach to processor risk under GDPR.

Outcomes

Processor oversight, documented the way Article 28 requires

Cynapze gives data controllers one place to monitor, assess and document processor risk, structured around the obligations GDPR introduces.

What is Cynapze?
Cynapze is a third-party risk management platform. It helps organizations monitor, assess, and document the cybersecurity posture of their vendors and suppliers, all from one place.
Who is Cynapze built for?
Cynapze is built for organizations that need to manage vendor risk at scale, from security teams and risk officers to finance leaders who need visibility without becoming security experts.
How is Cynapze different from a spreadsheet or a manual review process?
Manual processes go stale the moment they're finished. Cynapze replaces static, point-in-time reviews with continuous monitoring, structured assessments, and a single record of every vendor's risk over time.
Do I need a security background to use Cynapze?
No. The platform is designed for both technical and non-technical roles, with role-based views that adapt to what each person on your team actually needs to see.
Can Cynapze scale with my vendor portfolio as it grows?
Yes. Whether you're managing a handful of vendors or several dozen, Cynapze is built to add vendors, assign criticality, and track risk without the process breaking down as your portfolio grows.
How long does it take to get started?
After creating your account, a guided setup walks you through completing your company profile, inviting team members, and adding your first vendors. Every step can be skipped and resumed later.
What do I need to add a vendor?
Just the vendor's name and domain to begin monitoring. From there, you can assign criticality, send assessment questionnaires, and build out their full risk profile over time.
Can I invite my team to use the platform?
Yes. Company admins can invite team members and assign them roles that determine what they can see and do within the platform.
What happens after I add a vendor?
Once a vendor is added, you can choose to actively manage them, which triggers ongoing monitoring, lets you send assessment questionnaires, and allows you to track remediation plans tied to their risk profile.
How do I get help if I run into an issue?
A help center with searchable articles and contextual guidance is available directly in the platform, alongside a contact form for direct support requests.
What subscription tiers does Cynapze offer?
Four tiers: Freemium, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Each tier increases the number of vendors you can actively manage and the depth and frequency of monitoring data available.
How many vendors can I manage on each tier?
Freemium does not include active vendor management. Silver supports up to 10 managed vendors, Gold up to 25, and Platinum up to 50.
Is there a free trial?
Cynapze does not currently offer a time-limited free trial. The Freemium tier lets you explore the platform with a one-time vendor score, without an ongoing subscription.
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are billed annually. Upgrading to a higher tier takes effect immediately, with the price difference prorated. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Subscription cancellation is handled by our support team rather than through self-service. Reach out and we'll take care of it.
Does Cynapze help with NIS2 compliance?
Yes. Cynapze includes questionnaire templates aligned to NIS2 requirements and gives you the continuous monitoring, documentation, and audit trail needed to demonstrate supplier oversight.
Does Cynapze help with DORA compliance?
Yes. Cynapze covers the ICT third-party risk management pillar of DORA, with continuous monitoring of ICT providers, structured due diligence, and reporting aligned to DORA's documentation expectations.
Does Cynapze cover GDPR requirements?
Cynapze helps you monitor and document the security posture of vendors processing personal data on your behalf, supporting the due diligence expectations under Article 28. It is not a full GDPR compliance management tool.
Can I generate compliance reports directly from Cynapze?
Yes. You can generate reports from your vendor data aligned to the frameworks you work with, ready to share with auditors, regulators, or your own leadership.
Does Cynapze automatically map my vendor data to specific regulatory controls?
Not automatically. Cynapze gives you the structured data, documentation, and audit trail that support your compliance work, but framework-to-control mapping is not an automated feature in the current version.
Where is my data hosted?
Your data is hosted on a SecNumCloud sovereign cloud, the qualification issued by ANSSI, the French national cybersecurity agency, with no dependency on US cloud providers. This reflects a deliberate choice to support data sovereignty for European organizations.
Is Cynapze built with European compliance standards in mind?
Yes. The platform's hosting and infrastructure choices are built around European digital sovereignty principles, reflecting the regulatory environment our customers operate in.
Is my company's data isolated from other Cynapze customers?
Yes. Cynapze is a multi-tenant platform with strict data isolation between companies. Each organization only has access to its own data and the vendors it manages.
Who can see my vendor risk data inside my organization?
Access is role-based. Company admins control which roles can see what, including detailed technical findings, so sensitive data stays restricted to the people who need it.
Where does Cynapze get its security data from?
Cynapze integrates with SecurityScorecard, an established security ratings provider, as its data source. Cynapze adds the layer on top: vendor categorization, risk prioritization, questionnaires, remediation tracking, and reporting.
